There are two spiders that live in our house. They are very small hence they can get away with life. One lives down here in the living room. It's always somewhere on the ceiling. It's small and black and finding it is always reassuring. A sense of fitting. The spider belongs too.
There's also one that lives on our bedroom ceiling. It must be a sibling of its downstairs relative. It's a bit more shy but I usually see it every week or so.
When I first saw this pair, I did want to discard of them. But after a second of thought, it seemed so unfair. They were just doing their business and tending to their own affairs. As long as they stick to the ceiling I really don't mind them. Maybe they are just Charlottes in disguise, doing the secret work of Charlottes everywhere.
